Handel's Messiah: Re-imagined fuses together traditional choral and contemporary electroacoustic music to bring you a unique and innovative interpretation of a classic. Kantos Chamber Choir and Orchestra will be performing the traditional Messiah under the baton of conductor Elspeth Slorach.
Interspersed within this iconic piece will be five newly commissioned electroacoustic works composed by talented emerging artists from around the country. Each electroacoustic work will be inspired by and be based on a Handel's Messiah. An innovative combination of traditional and contemporary music, ‘Handel’s Messiah: Re-imagined’ will bring the best of two musical worlds together for a unique event. Pre-performance talk, 6.30 The composers will discuss their thoughts on recreating Handel's Messiah in electroacoustic form in a free pre-performance talk. Tickets
