Throughout 2019, Collective31 delivered music workshops in 8 schools across London. These workshops have been based on our sell out events 'Handel's Messiah: Reimagined'. The students took inspiration from our composers; taking a movement from the Messiah and recreating this. The students have been learning new compositional techniques and how to rework their own given material. As well as creating their own material, students have been performing original and reworked material and as a result, expanding their musical repertoire.

In the spring and summer months of 2018, Collective31 delivered dance workshops to two secondary schools (Meadow High School and Bishopshalt School) using the material of their recent workshops of 'Snow White'. The students worked with choreographer, Abby Bulfin to learn her choreography and then creatively adapted the material to create their own new work.

Catherine Underhill, Naomi Wright and Shivashtie Poonwassie worked with a number of students from Meadow High School in 2017 to deliver engaging music and art workshops. The students created their own art inspired by live performances and created their own music, inspired by the artwork of Shivashtie Poonwassie.

In June 2017, Collective31 created a fun 'Music and Art' Outreach day for schools in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Over 50 students ranging from ages 5-18 came to Ickenham Village Hall where they took part in a range of activities. These included composing their own music, inspired by artwork brought along by local artist Shivashtie Poonwassie, to creating paintings inspired by live music performed to them by Collective31 director Naomi Wright.

In January 2017, Collective31 produced 'Handel's Messiah: Reimagined' and alongside this, 'Handel's Messiah: Come and Sing'. This open event welcomed people within the community of Manchester to come and sing sections of Handel's Messiah with Kantos Chamber Choir, led by Ellie Slorach.
